Employee of the Month

Synopsis

Four hotel staff are working to become employee of the month, so much so that they all work overtime late into the night. One of them is desperate and has gone to extreme lengths to ensure victory, setting traps around the hotel to kill the other staff. The other three must band together to expose this traitor and get them fired before it's too late.

Game Mechanics

This couch co-op game involves 4 players sharing a screen, running around a hotel completing tasks such as washing dishes, cleaning tables, scrubbing toilets and watering plants. Players must constantly complete these tasks to stay in the game. 

One player is chosen at random to become the 'betrayer', who then secretly sets traps whilst performing tasks, and activates them at will, in an attempt to kill off his fellow co-workers. Whilst all players continue to perform their tasks, non-betrayer players must try to figure out who the killer is, before it's too late. 

Players must think twice before accusing any fellow employees - making the wrong choice will get them 'fired' from the hotel, their dreams of becoming employee of the month gone forever (or at least for that round).

Unfortunately this game was not completed in time for the game jam, but we will be leaving this page up to show our ideas and what we managed to achieve in 2 days.
